Sami makes it to the semi-finals!

You can follow Sami on Instagram: climbersami3232 Sami climbed well today. None of the climbers in Sami's division reached the top today. Most of the girls, including Sami, all fell within one or two holds of each other near the top. Luckily, Sami made it further than most of the climbers. She took 14th of the 35 girls here. The top 17 go on, so she will climb in tomorrow's semi-final.
Sami's friend, Victor, has had an amazing competition. He is now tied for 4th place in his Division!

In Atlanta!

Sami got to Atlanta today in preparation for the SCS Sport Climbing Championships starting on July 4th.

Sami is 3rd of 35 in the running order for Thursday. She will likely start climbing at about 9:30 am (6:30 am PST).

On Friday, she is in the middle of the pack and will climb at around 11:00 am.

Speed climbing is in the afternoon both days.

This completion has only one climb each day. Thursday and Friday are qualifiers so all 35 competitors climb both days. The scores from Thursday and Friday determine who goes on the Saturday. On Saturday the field is further reduced until only 10 competitors go on to Sunday.
